The AI Marketplace is a unique ecosystem in Germany that brings together companies and AI providers to jointly develop solutions for AI applications in engineering. The project will be extended until 30 June 2023. The lynchpin of the project is the AI Marketplace platform of the same name. Currently, the platform is in a beta version, but that is set to change. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Platform moves to productive operation<\/h2>\n

The platform will go live as early as April. “We are looking forward to presenting the platform with its full functions in the final phase of the project and to ensuring that it can be used after the project ends,” says Leon \u00d6zcan, project coordinator and research associate Heinz Nixdorf Institute at the Padebrorn University. A presentation of the functional platform is planned for the first time at Hannover Messe (17 to 21 April).<\/p>\n

At present, users of the AI Marketplace can already convince themselves of the possibilities of a community platform and an app and service store free of charge. “These three features will be established on the AI Marketplace. In addition, work is being done on a development environment for the platform,” says \u00d6zcan.<\/p>\n

Six pilot projects for AI applications<\/h2>\n

Six pilot projects are also about to be completed in the AI Marketplace. In the projects, the companies are working together with research institutions of the AI Marketplace on AI solutions for concrete use cases. The topics range from intelligent product monitoring and the automation of technology scouting to AI-supported manufacturability analysis. Claas, Diebold Nixdorf, d\u00fcspohl, Hella Gutmann, Westaflex and Ubermetrics are participating in the pilot projects.<\/p>\n

“By the end of the project, the aim is to successfully complete the projects and create the basis for the results to be saved on the platform and used by other companies,” says Leon \u00d6zcan.<\/p>\n

The AI Marketplace project is funded from January 2020 to June 2023 in the innovation competition “Artificial Intelligence as a Driver for Economically Relevant Ecosystems” of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK). With the AI innovation competition, the BMWK promotes outstanding approaches for new forms of AI-based platform economies in important sectors of the German economy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
